About Austin Dog Rescue

ADR has been rescuing and finding homes for dogs since 2006. First as part of Austin Dog Alliance, and then in the summer of 2007, Austin Dog Rescue applied for and received their 501(c)3 tax-exempt non-profit status as an independent organization. With our careful placement, and commitment to being our dog’s lifelong advocate, we have assisted thousands of homeless dogs throughout the Central Texas.

We are an all volunteer, foster home based program and have no paid employees.

We are not a kennel or shelter and we do not have a central office or adoption center. Our dogs are housed and cared for by foster caregivers in a home setting. All positions held are volunteers that give their time and talents to promote our mission to save lives.

Austin Dog Rescue is one of the most well respected and successful mixed breed rescues in the Central Texas area.
