The American Icon / 29th St Yard Sale last weekend went off just as advertised: Babes, Bands, Hunks, and Jams. It was our first time playing this event and we were totally stoked to be there. For those not in-the-know, the 29th St Yard Sale is a regular event hosted by American Icon Vintage at the 29th Street Ballroom featuring over 20 local vintage clothing vendors and music.

Our good friend Edison Carter from Bitter Kitten Media dropped by to take a few snaps.

New show just announced: ROXY ROCA with Beasley / Price at The Belmont on Friday, September 14th. FREE SHOW! Fall is on the way — no better time to enjoy a night of Dynamite Texas Soul outside under the stars at The Belmont. Beasley / Price open the show at 10pm with their cutting edge blend of lo-fi electro with acoustic instruments like saxophones, trombones, keys, and the occasional harmonica. Nobody can say we are not doing our part to keep your summer hot, soulful, and funkified. Just when you thought summer was over, we’ve got another hot night of soul to announce. Thursday, August 23rd The Mohawk presents The LaRues + ROXY ROCA with special guest Dear Marksman. All ages show! Did you know that Scholz Garten in downtown Austin is the oldest business in Texas? Well, it is, and that’s only one of the reasons we were so stoked that they asked us to come do our thing in the Biergarten. It also happens to be a cool hangout and great outdoor music venue.
