ROXY ROCA Welcomes Drummer Christina Comley

We are excited to introduce the newest member of the ROXY ROCA family, drummer Christina Comley. Originally from the Dallas area, Christina moved to LA to attend Musicians Institute in 2010. Since then, Christina has called Austin home for the past year, paying her dues at clubs up and down 6th Street and all over town.

Christina will make her live debut with the band this week at Soul Monday at The Roost. This local show will serve as a great warm-up before heading out on the road later this week for shows in New Orleans at Balcony Music Club and Shamrock as well as our much-anticipated main stage set at BayFest 2014 in Mobile, AL with Ludacris and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony.

Why the change from current drummer Paul Kresowik? Guitarist Errol Siegel said, “Paul was looking to go a different direction. We’re proud of the things we accomplished together, but sometimes you have to shake things up and look for something new. We respect that and wish Paul nothing but the best, whatever he decides to do next.”

Paul said, “It’s been a great year with the band but it’s time for a change for them and for me. I’d like to thank Taye Cannon, Errol Siegel, Bob Villwock, Nikolas Bouklas, Ryan Allen, Thomas Hays, Roger Wüthrich, Houston Rawls, and Royce Phillips Jr. for the good times and memorable shows. I wish them all the very best! Special thanks to everyone who supported me and the band in person and from afar this past year. I’ll still be in Austin playing shows and enjoying life and will look forward to seeing you all around town or down the road.”

Come out to a show soon and help us welcome Christina to the band!
