About Basement Tapes Vol. 1

We are pleased to present “Basement Tapes Vol. 1,” a collection of early ROXY ROCA recordings that show the evolution of the band over the course of our first few years. The record includes material pulled from several different sessions at Clockright Studio in south Austin with Jason Richard engineering/producing and also a session at Big Orange Studio in east Austin with Aaron Bastinelli engineering at SXSW 2013 as part of Converse Rubber Tracks at SXSW. All tracks were remixed and mastered by Jason Richard at Clockright Studio.

These recording sessions were all about a band figuring out who they were, what kind of music they were trying to make, and how to go about getting those sounds onto tape.

Check out these photos and videos from the various sessions.

Can’t wait see you again, Live! I haven’t been able to get enough since I heard you for the first time at SXSW 2013 (I lost 7 lbs dancing with all of you). Keep making real music!
