A few weeks ago we celebrated ROXY ROCA drummer Paul’s birthday at our favorite Rainey Street hangout, The Blackheart. At the birthday boy’s request, we all wore bow ties. I think that put the night over the top. It looked something like this (thanks to Milton Otto for the photos).

“Wait– you guys are playing at a grocery store?” It’s hard to explain the phenomenon that is Central Market to out-of-towners. I guess it’s just an Austin thing. We love living in a town that is so cool that even our grocery stores are killer venues. Also, we love doing early, all-ages shows like this once in a while where all our good friends with kids that can’t come to our late night shows can come out and enjoy a good time with us. Many thanks to our good friend Milto Otto for sharing these pictures!
