Walked into the Continental May third, hoping on a rare night in Austin to get lucky. Did we ever!!! A great stompin’ rompin’ set by Roxy Roca was the highlight of a great visit. I want your CD. I want Cornbread! Gimme some butter!

We saw you play with Nakia last night at Threadgill’s, and man were we not disappointed we came out! My wife and I had an amazing time! When are you releasing the new CD for sale?
Also, what was the name of the song that you told the story about the incredibly hot girl and you were going to give her one more look, and name the song the first thing that popped into your head? Amazing, and can’t wait to buy it!

Hey Kevin! Thanks for the comment. We had a great time that night and I’m glad you did too! The record is going to come out some time this summer, although no release date has been set just yet. Be sure to ‘Like’ us on Facebook and/or sign up on the email list on the web page — we’ll be announcing the record release date through both those channels. The song you asked about is called “Love Maker DeVille.” That one will be on the record and we can’t wait for you to hear it!

Whoooaaa dudes, saw your show last night at Baker St. Holy cow, you’re the second coming. Fantastic horns and rhythm section, outstanding guitar and vocals, you got da funk ! Reminds me of soul bands from back in the day but with an updated modern writing and arranging style. Thank you for the great shot of soul, outstanding !

Hey David! Thanks for the kind words. I’m glad to hear you had as much fun listening last night as we had playing. I hope we see you out at a show again soon. I’ve been listening to your tracks on RN this morning — great stuff! It’s always great to connect with like-minded soul/R&B fans.
