There is no place like Hotel Vegas for a hot, sweaty dance party and last weekend was no exception. Check out these great photos from our set, courtesy of our good friend Milton Otton.
We are really excited about our new residency on the north side of town: Soul Mondays at The Roost. We can’t say enough good things about this incredible new venue! If you haven’t been there yet, make plans to start the week off right and join us next Monday. Until then, check out this killer gallery of photos from Soul Monday’s maiden voyage two weeks ago, courtesy of our good friend Edison Carter from Bitter Kitten Media.

Many thanks to Eric Schultz from AL.com for the great review of our show Friday night, part of the Concerts on the Dock summer music series at Lowe Mill in Huntsville, AL. We were pretty excited to see this headline the day after the show: “Roxy Roca blows up Lowe Mill dock with ‘Dynamite Texas Soul.’” Not bad!
Thousands gather to hear ROXY ROCA play on the historic dock with a powerful, soulful sound inspired by the great soul and funk pioneers of the 60s during the Lowe Mill ARTS and Entertainment’s Concert on the Dock series Friday, April 11, 2014 in Huntsville, Ala.

We had been looking forward to playing Concerts on the Dock at Lowe Mill in Huntsville, AL for months and it did not disappoint! In fact, it would be hard to overstate just how good a time we had Friday night. A record-breaking crowd of 2000+ showed up ready to get down and we did our best to deliver. Not even a little cloudburst that showed up towards the end of the show could dampen spirits that night! Here’s a cool gallery of photos from the show, courtesy of Roger Patteson from Type II Photography.
SXSW 2014 is in the rearview mirror, but we had such a good time that we’re still feeling the glow. Check out this awesome gallery of photos from our showcase at Half Step, courtesy of our good friend Edison Carter from Bitter Kitten Media, and relive the good times with us.
The glow still lingers from last weekend’s Soul Sweat Double Header at The Blackheart! Here’s another awesome gallery of photos, this time from our good friend Regina Visconi. Enjoy these pics from Round 1 last Friday night!
It’s hard to believe SXSW 2014 was just a couple weeks ago! If that whole week feels like one big blur to you, here are some photos from our set at St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store, courtesy of Edison Carter from Bitter Kitten Media to remind you. We’re still buzzing from that day of amazing music including sets from Middle Class Murder, Rodney “The Pie Man” Henry, Big Gun Show, Nocona, WIFEE and the HUZz Band (including a cameo from the inimitable Rosie Flores!), ROXY ROCA, Sarah Borges, Drivin’ N Cryin’, Shurman, and Whiskey Sisters.
This weekend’s Soul Sweat Double Header at The Blackheart was just what we needed to celebrate the arrival of Spring! It felt great to get down with all you beautiful people outside under the stars. Our good friend Milton Otto was kind enough to share these photos from last night’s show.
We got SXSW off to a great start yesterday with the Proper Entertainment SXSW All-Star Showcase at Symphony Square. Check out these great photos, courtesy of our good friend Edison Carter from Bitter Kitten Media.
