We have great news for all you Austin soul fans that live on the north side of town! ROXY ROCA is coming back to Hanovers in Pflugerville on Friday, October 5th. We had a blast ringing in the New Year at Hanovers and we have been looking forward to coming back ever since. The stars have finally aligned and we are ready to bring the soul party back to Hanover’s, 11:30pm-1:30am.

We are thrilled to announce that ROXY ROCA is going into the studio to make our debut record! Taye made a video to tell you what we have in store. We’ll get the ball rolling this December at EAR Studio in Austin, TX with producer Lars Goransson. Lars has built an impressive resume that includes everyone from indie darlings (like Cotton Mather, What Made Milwaukee Famous, Ian Moore) to major-label rockers (like The Cardigans, Dave Pirner, Alpha Rev) and soul/blues/funk legends (like A.C. Littlefield, Kool & Together, Cornell Dupree). We can’t wait to see how he can help us bring the ROXY ROCA sound to life. The record should be completed by the end of this year with a release date in 2013.

We are pleased to announce that ROXY ROCA has been selected to perform at the Art Outside Festival at Apache Pass in Rockdale, TX this October. Show date and other details to follow soon!
Art Outside is a unique three day festival combining visual and interactive art, performance, film, as well as a wide range of music bridging genres, from bluegrass to experimental, hip-hop to dance music. Art Outside started with the idea to bring art out of the gallery and into a unique setting where different forms of art can connect and be enjoyed by all.

We had an unforgettable night at Beauty Ballroom last Saturday night. Everybody knows Knuckle Rumbler throws a mean party and this was no exception. We were honored to kick off a night of soul with our good friends KP and The Boom Boom and a DJ set from none other than Mayer Hawthorne.
